Before Van Heest Visual was a glimmer in my eye, I bought my first camera and began filming my friends learn to skateboard. I developed many skills that would benefit me later on while learning to shoot skateboarding, such as fast reactions, quick thinking, and being prepared for any scenario. This background gives me a unique advantage over other shooters. Working quickly and never missing a shot are absolutely essential to shoot skateboarding and documentary content.
